A pairs game where the pairs are questions and their answers. Turn over 7 × 6 and then 42 and the pair stays face up. Turn over the wrong one and you have to remember where it was.

Why games beat drilling
Matching a question to its answer works the fact in both directions — you have to recognise 42 as belonging to 7 × 6, not just produce it.
Common questions
How does the multiplication memory game work?
Every card is either a question like 7 × 6 or an answer like 42. Turn over two cards; if they belong together they stay face up. Clear the whole board to finish.
What grid sizes are there?
There are 12, 16 and 24 card boards. Start with 12 for younger children — a bigger board tests memory more than it tests multiplication.
Can two people play?
Yes. Take turns on the same device and count the pairs each of you collects; whoever has more when the board is clear wins.
