A statement appears — 7 × 8 = 54 — and you decide whether it is right or wrong. Spotting a wrong answer is a different skill from producing a right one, and it catches the facts a child only half knows.

- Choose the tables, how many statements and how far the tables should run.
- Read the statement and press True or False.

Why games beat drilling
A child who half-remembers 7 × 8 will often accept 54 without blinking. Judging a statement rather than producing an answer is what exposes that, which makes this the fastest way to find the shaky facts.
Common questions
How does the true or false game work?
You are shown a multiplication statement such as 6 × 7 = 42. Press True if it is right and False if it is not. Roughly half the statements are wrong.
Can I go back and change an answer?
No, and deliberately so: this mode tells you at once whether you were right, so going back would only let you correct a statement you had already been shown the answer to. If you want to move freely and change your mind, use Test Mode, which stays quiet until the end.
Why practise spotting wrong answers?
Because it uses the fact in the other direction. Producing 42 from 6 × 7 and rejecting 6 × 7 = 45 are different pieces of knowing, and children who can do the first often cannot yet do the second.
