Questions
How do you answer?
Difficulty
The plain version: a set of multiplication questions, one at a time, with no timer running. Choose from four answers or type the number in, and see straight away whether you were right.
Play: Quick Practice
- Choose the tables, how many questions and how far the tables should run.
- Pick whether you want four answers to choose from or an empty box to type in.
- Answer each question — the next one comes along on its own.
- At the end you get your score and a list of the facts to work on.
Why games beat drilling
No clock means no panic. This is where a table goes from "I can work it out" to "I know it", and the timed games are for afterwards.
Common questions
Is there a timer in Quick Practice?
No. The clock in the corner records how long you took, but nothing runs out and nothing is lost by thinking. It is deliberately the one mode with no pressure at all.
Can I choose from answers instead of typing?
Yes, and that is the default. Four answers appear with one of them right. Switch to "Type it" in the setup when picking from a list has become too easy.
How many questions should a child do?
Ten is a good session for a younger child and twenty for most others. Short and daily beats long and occasional every time.
